Dream Play At City Of Dreams

Few months ago, seeing the TV ad of City of Dreams Manila by Leo Di Caprio and Robert de Niro made me think that they were just promoting luxurious, 5-star hotels with a casino. Little did I know that Dream Play by Dreamsworks, an interactive play space for kids and young at heart, is also located inside City of Dreams. We also learned that adults may enter considering they are accompanying at least a child less than 15 years of age. It was the 7th of May when we visited City of Dreams.

Luckily, when we got there, the queue at the ticket booth wasn’t long. Rates vary for children and adults, the day (weekday / weekend) and number of hours of visit. Kids below 100cm are free of charge. A dress code is highly observed and wearing comfortable clothes, socks and shoes are encourage but skirts are not allowed in some areas.

After paying, each of us was given an electronic wrist band, we just tapped it in the turnstile to enter, and to their tablets before playing.

We headed first to Thread of Enlightenment and Wall of Destiny. These spots have similarities with Outland Adventure in Davao where there are climbing and swinging involve. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to experience it ’cause I was wearing skirt. Looking from below, it seemed challenging, fun and scary.

We did a short animation on our own with Dream Studio.

Full of jumbled slides occupy the center of Dream Play, and across is the restaurant.

They provided us with a vibrating pager but served our orders on our table.

The last thing we did was enter Dream Theatre. We watched a short video which lasted for 4 minutes about a tribe of aliens trying to look for a home. They went to one planet after another and finally found Earth. Between the film, we were splattered with water and puffed with air on our faces.

We have seen and enjoyed enough of Dream Play for 2 hours but for active and playful kids, I think it’s quite a short time.

That’s all for now. Thanks for reading! Please visit their website for the rates.
