Missin’ The Lake Life

1 July 2015 | Chungcheongnam-do, South Korea  —

departure time – 7:28 am

One sunny Wednesday, we visited aunt-in-law who is residing at 충청남도 (Chungcheongnam-do) , also known as 충남 (Chungnam) that’s situated west of Korea in the province of Hoseo region. A peaceful area full of farm crops by the road side and not so many tall buildings except for apartments.

It took us about 2 hours to reach the place driving thru the motorway. After meeting and having lunch with her, we went directly to a wakeboard cable park in 천안 (Cheonan). Mt. Apo, the highest mountain in the Philippines, is very visible at Davao Wake Park. Similarly, Cheonan Wake Park also offers an awesome mountain view. But, the lake isn’t any bigger than Davao.

On the way back home, we stopped by at a rest area near the famous 서해대교 (Seohae Grand Bridge) and took some photos of it. The bridge, a cable-stayed type which crosses over Asan Bay and connects 평택시 (Pyeongtaek City) of Gyeonggi Province and 당진시 (Dangjin City) of Chungnam Province, is 7.31km long.

When we arrived in Seoul, it was already 6pm and expectedly, we were caught in traffic jam.

So, that’s how we spent our day in Chungnam. By the way, weekend is coming! Have you got any plans yet?
