27 Aug 2015 | Seoul, South Korea —
Danny and I met up after his work and told me that he was craving for burger. He was fine with Burger King but I wasn’t. Although, in our opinion, it’s the best among all international burger chains around Korea. So, I did some research on where good burgers in Seoul are selling and resulted to many choices including Brooklyn the Burger. By the way, it’s the top rated as the best burger in the city over the internet. Out of curiosity, we went all the way to Seocho to try them. But, we learned that they also opened a branch in Garosu-gil, Sinsa-dong upon arriving.
Here’s the menu and it has a Korean version, too.
We arrived at almost 9:00pm and the 20-seater tiny restaurant was still filled with diners. Luckily, we didn’t have to write on the waiting list and customers were still coming in one after another.
We ordered 2 “The Cheeseburger” and I got mine upgraded with half order of plain fries and a can of soda. Before digging in, I usually press the burger with my palm so I could easily put it inside my small mouth. The bun was too soft that it was almost as thin as paper. It was good but it was bland overall. I can’t tell yet whether it’s the best in town since I haven’t tasted other burgers aside from Lotteria, Mcdo and Burger King.
Note: This is based on our honest opinion and personal experience only.
By car, getting there is easy and comfortable but by public transportation, it could be a hassle.
After our short date, we headed to see the rainbow fountain show at Banpo bridge. It was my first time to see it since it was cancelled during my visit last year because of the Sewol ferry tragedy.
