South Korea —
Here’s my entry for this week’s photo challenge.
To those who aren’t familiar with the Korean cuisine, the food on those small plates are side dishes of a typical Korean meal. In Korean, it’s called “banchan” (반찬). One of the most popular side dishes is kimchi, a staple in a Korean home. Some other side dishes are veggies, nuts, dried fish, squid strips, tofu, seaweed and a whole lot more. If you happen to eat in a Korean restaurant, you can usually ask for refills of these tasty banchan.
